Studying Fine Art for many years, Chris has a very strong artistic background. Early on in his career development Chris knew that combining his love of art creation and computer science was always an avenue he wanted to pursue.
Chris has now worked in the video games industry for over 20 years. He has driven the progress of rendering, lighting and fx for many AAA franchises. He began his career in the UK working on racing games and third person movie titles for EA, Disney and Activision. Chris later transitioned to the FPS genre with Crytek's series of franchises. After joining Deep Silver, Chris has gone on to accomplish more ground breaking graphical technology in HOMEFRONT as well as a very exciting unannounced franchise to date.
Aiming to create engaging user experiences, whilst crafting aesthetically appealing game art; his focus and eye for detail can be seen throughout his body of work. Continually driving technical improvements through his love for problem solving. His working knowledge and very broad skill-set, accommodates large areas of multiple disciplines in the game creation pipeline,
from modelling and texturing with the latest tools, Chris also creates tools, art validation systems, shaders, game and export pipelines and principles, which the rest of the art team can use with confidence.
